How to Craft a Custom Painting

Gather the Ingredients

To make a Custom Painting, you need the three themed paintings first: an Overworld Painting, a Nether Painting, and an End Painting. Each of these is produced through a shaped crafting recipe. Once you have all three in your inventory, arrange them in a crafting grid to produce the Custom Painting.

Crafting the Themed Paintings

Each themed painting uses its own shaped recipe. Place the required ingredients in the exact pattern shown in the recipe book or JEI. The Overworld Painting, Nether Painting, and End Painting are all separate outputs, so craft each one individually before combining them.

Combining Into a Custom Painting

With all three themed paintings crafted, open a crafting table. Place the Overworld Painting, Nether Painting, and End Painting into the grid in the arrangement the recipe requires. The result slot will show the Custom Painting. Take it out and you are done.

Using the Custom Painting

The Custom Painting is the combined result of the three themed paintings. Once crafted, it can be placed like any other painting. If you want multiples, repeat the full process: craft each themed painting, then combine them again. Keep spare themed paintings on hand so you can batch-craft several Custom Paintings at once.
