How to Inscribe Keys at the Key Inscribing Station
Getting a Station Running
Keys start blank and only become useful once inscribed. Place a Key Inscribing Station and open it. If you find a Damaged Key Inscribing Station in a dungeon, it cannot inscribe anything as-is — you need a working Key Inscribing Station to process keys. A station that has already produced a key becomes a Used Key Inscribing Station, so keep spares or expect to craft replacements.
Inscribing Your Blank Keys
Bring the blank key that matches what you want to open:
- Blank Portal Key — for entering a dungeon portal.
- Blank Personal Dimension Key — for a personal dimension.
- Blank Teleporter Key — for teleporter access.
- Blank Theme Key — for selecting a dungeon theme.
- Blank Advanced Key — for advanced dungeon options.
Insert the blank key into the Key Inscribing Station and inscribe it. The station consumes the blank and returns an inscribed key you can use on the matching block or portal. The Dimensional Dungeons Guidebook documents which key pairs with which destination, so check it before inscribing if you are unsure.
Practical Order
Inscribe a Blank Portal Key first so you can reach a dungeon at all. Once inside, collect materials and any Damaged Key Inscribing Station you find. Use the Dimensional Dungeons Guidebook to decide whether your next blank should become a Blank Theme Key or Blank Advanced Key, then inscribe it at your station.
