Crafting and Using the Local Teleporter
What the Local Teleporter Does
The Local Teleporter moves you between two points you set yourself. It is not a dungeon portal — it works inside your base, mine, or anywhere you place a pair. You need two Local Teleporter blocks to make a working link.
Setting Up a Pair
1. Craft or obtain two Local Teleporter blocks.
2. Place the first where you want to arrive (your base, for example).
3. Place the second where you want to depart from (a mine entrance, for example).
4. Inscribe a Blank Teleporter Key at a Key Inscribing Station.
5. Use the inscribed teleporter key on each Local Teleporter to bind them together.
Once bound, stepping on or using one Local Teleporter sends you to the other. The Dimensional Dungeons Guidebook explains the binding step if the blocks do not link on the first try — usually the key was not inscribed or was used on only one of the two blocks.
Keeping the Link Working
A Used Key Inscribing Station cannot make new keys, so keep a working Key Inscribing Station and spare Blank Teleporter Key items on hand. If you move a Local Teleporter, rebind the pair with a fresh inscribed teleporter key. Do not confuse this with a Gold Dungeon Portal — that block needs a Blank Portal Key, not a teleporter key.
