Using Fabric of Finality and Enduring Fibers

What They Do

Fabric of Finality and Enduring Fibers are the two key stabilising materials in Dimensional Doors. They are used in tesselating recipes to create and reinforce dimensional doors. Without them, your doors will not hold.

Crafting with Them

Both items feed into dimdoors:shaped_tesselating and dimdoors:shapeless_tesselating recipes. To make a stable door, combine Fabric of Finality with Amalgam Block in a shaped tesselating recipe. Enduring Fibers work similarly but produce different results — use them when you want a lighter or more flexible door.

You can also craft Fabric of Finality into coloured Fabric blocks: Black Fabric, Blue Fabric, Brown Fabric, Cyan Fabric, and others. These are decorative and use standard crafting_shaped recipes.

Practical Use

Place Fabric of Finality near a rift or door to mark a stable exit. In Limbo, Fabric of Finality blocks often indicate where a return door will appear. Enduring Fibers are used to reinforce Amalgam Block structures — combine them with Amalgam to make Amalgam Slab, Amalgam Stairs, and Amalgam Trapdoor.

If you are low on materials, remember that Enduring Fibers can be obtained from Clod Block processing. Smelt Clod Block in a furnace to get the fibers you need. Always keep a stack of both on hand before entering a rift.
