Crafting a Dimensional Door: Recipes and Progression

Core Crafting Materials

Dimensional Doors uses two special recipe types: dimdoors:shaped_tesselating and dimdoors:shapeless_tesselating. These are the tesselating recipes that produce the mod's unique blocks. You cannot make them on a normal crafting table — you need the tesselating process.

Key ingredients include Enduring Fibers, Fabric of Finality, Driftwood Planks, Driftwood Wood, Amalgam Block, and Clod Block. Gather these first.

Building the Door

To create a working dimensional door, you combine Amalgam Block with Enduring Fibers or Fabric of Finality using a tesselating recipe. The exact grid is a shaped tesselating recipe — arrange the Amalgam Block in the centre and the fiber or fabric around it.

Gold Door and Driftwood Door are the two door types you can place and walk through. Amalgam Door and Amalgam Trapdoor are also craftable from Amalgam Block using standard shaped recipes.

Supporting Blocks

Once you have a door, you can decorate and reinforce the area with Amalgam Slab, Amalgam Stairs, and Amalgam Trapdoor. These use normal crafting_shaped recipes. Driftwood Planks, Driftwood Slab, Driftwood Stairs, Driftwood Fence, Driftwood Gate, and Driftwood Trapdoor are all craftable from Driftwood Wood or Driftwood Planks using standard recipes.

Smelt raw materials in a furnace — the mod adds 102 smelting recipes, mostly for turning blocks into refined forms. Check your recipe book for the exact tesselating layout once you have the ingredients.
