Safely Loot a Bastion Treasure Chest

Prepare Before Entering

Every Dimensional Breach portal contains a Bastion treasure chest with valuable loot. Before looting:

1. Bring fire resistance potions—some portals spawn with lava pools and active fire

2. Equip armor and bring weapons; Nether mobs may be present around the structure

3. Bring a pickaxe for mining Nether blocks if you want to collect materials

4. Consider bringing a shield for protection against ranged attacks

Loot the Chest Safely

1. Approach the portal structure cautiously and clear any hostile mobs in the immediate area

2. Locate the Bastion chest—it's typically positioned within or near the portal frame

3. Open the chest and collect items into your inventory

4. Be aware that some portal types (like those with lava) create environmental hazards; position yourself safely before opening

5. If the chest is surrounded by Nether blocks, clear a path first

The treasure is worth the preparation. Return multiple times as you find different portal types for varied loot rewards.
