Crafting Diamond Glass Panes, Slabs, and Stairs

Pick the Full Block First

Every colored Diamond Glass block has three derived shapes: a Pane, a Slab, and Stairs. You cannot craft a Pane, Slab, or Stairs without first having the matching full Diamond Glass block. So the order is always: get the full block, then break it down into the shape you want.

For example, to get Blue Diamond Glass Stairs, you first need Blue Diamond Glass. To get Red Diamond Glass Pane, you first need Red Diamond Glass. The same applies to every color in the set.

Shape Conversions

Once you have a full Diamond Glass block, the conversions are:

• Full block to Pane
• Full block to Slab
• Full block to Stairs

These are standard shape recipes, so a full block yields multiple Panes, two Slabs, or a set of Stairs. Plan your block count accordingly: if you want a large window wall of Panes, craft the full blocks first and then convert.

Sandstone Shapes

The three Diamond Sandstone blocks follow the same logic. Diamond Sandstone, Chiseled Diamond Sandstone, and Smooth Diamond Sandstone each have a Slab and a Stairs variant. Craft the full block, then convert it into Slab or Stairs. There are no Pane variants for the sandstone blocks.

Color Matching

Panes, Slabs, and Stairs only exist in the color of the full block you started from. A Blue Diamond Glass block will never produce a Red Diamond Glass Pane. Keep your colors separated in storage so you do not mix up full blocks before converting them.
