Diagnose why Distant Horizons still crashes with MPEM installed

Check mod presence

Before assuming DHMPEMFixer isn't working, verify all three mods are actually loaded:

1. Launch the game and open the mods menu

2. Search for "Distant Horizons," "MPEM" (or "Moonlit"), and "DHMPEMFixer"

3. Confirm all three appear in the list and show as active (not greyed out)

If any mod is missing, add it to your mods folder and restart.

Read the crash log

If you're still crashing:

1. Check your latest log file (usually in .minecraft/logs/latest.log)

2. Search for "NullPointerException" or "proxy"

3. Note the exact line and class where the crash occurs

If the error mentions Forge proxy fields or packet sender fields, DHMPEMFixer should have prevented it. If it didn't, the mod may not have loaded properly.

Verify Forge compatibility

Ensure your Forge version is compatible with all three mods. Mismatched versions can prevent DHMPEMFixer from injecting its fixes correctly. Update Forge or downgrade mods as needed to match versions.
