How to Purify Water with a Campfire Cauldron

Build the Cauldron

Place a Campfire Cauldron and light a fire beneath it. The Campfire Cauldron is the entry point for clean water, so build it before you worry about flasks. Once it is heated, it accepts dirty water and outputs Purified Water.

Process Dirty Water

Collect water from any source into a container, then feed it into the heated Campfire Cauldron. The smelting recipe type handles the conversion, turning your input into Purified Water. You do not need a separate fuel item beyond the fire under the cauldron.

Store the Result

Purified Water can be held in a Purified Water Bucket for bulk transport, or poured into Leather Flasks for drinking on the move. If you plan to travel, fill a flask immediately after purifying so you are not caught without a drink.

Scale Up

When one Campfire Cauldron cannot keep up, add a Copper Cauldron. The Copper Cauldron gives you a second purification station so you can process more water at once. Keep both heated and alternate between them while exploring or mining.

Why It Matters

Drinking untreated water is what drives dehydration in the first place. Purifying first, then drinking from a flask, is the reliable loop: purify, store, drink, repeat.
