How to Drink and Manage Thirst with Leather Flasks

Craft a Flask

Leather Flasks are your portable drinking vessel. Craft one before heading out, then fill it with Purified Water from a Campfire Cauldron or Copper Cauldron. A filled flask lets you drink anywhere without returning to a water source.

Drink from the Flask

With a filled Leather Flask in hand, use it to drink. Each drink restores your hydration and drains the flask. Refill it at a cauldron when it runs dry. Carry a spare flask so you are never stuck empty in the field.

Upgrade for Capacity

When leather is not enough, upgrade along the flask line: Iron Leather Flask, Golden Leather Flask, Diamond Leather Flask, and finally Netherite Leather Flask. The smithing_transform recipe handles the top-tier upgrade. Higher-tier flasks hold more and reduce how often you refill.

Keep Water Flowing

Pair your flask with a Rainwater Collector to passively gather water while you build or mine. Empty the collector into a cauldron, purify it, then top up your flasks. This loop keeps you hydrated without constant trips to a river.

Avoid Dehydration

Drink before your hydration bar empties. Topping up early with a flask is far safer than waiting until you are desperate, especially underground where clean water is hard to find.
