How to Automate Water Collection with a Rainwater Collector and Bamboo Pump

Place the Rainwater Collector

Set down a Rainwater Collector in an open area with sky access. It gathers water over time without any input from you. Check it periodically and empty the collected water into a cauldron for purification.

Move Water with a Bamboo Pump

A Bamboo Pump moves water between containers so you do not have to carry buckets by hand. Place it between your Rainwater Collector and a Campfire Cauldron or Copper Cauldron. This keeps the cauldron supplied while you work elsewhere.

Purify and Distribute

Water arriving at the cauldron is converted to Purified Water. From there, fill Leather Flasks for travel or a Purified Water Bucket for storage. The Bamboo Pump keeps the flow steady so your cauldron never runs dry.

Build a Compact Station

Cluster the Rainwater Collector, Bamboo Pump, and Copper Cauldron together. Add a second cauldron if demand is high. This compact setup turns rainfall into a continuous supply of drinkable water with minimal attention.

Maintain the Loop

Empty flasks back into the system when full, refill them from the cauldron, and let the collector keep topping everything up. Once running, the station handles hydration for a whole base.
