Starting With a Leather Flask

Craft a Leather Flask using the crafting_shaped recipe. This is your first portable water container. Fill it from a Campfire Cauldron or Copper Cauldron that holds Purified Water. Drink by using the flask; refill by interacting with a cauldron.

Upgrading Through Tiers

Each higher tier is made by upgrading the previous flask:

• Iron Leather Flask from Leather Flask
• Golden Leather Flask from Iron Leather Flask
• Diamond Leather Flask from Golden Leather Flask
• Netherite Leather Flask from Diamond Leather Flask using the smithing_transform recipe

Higher tiers hold more Purified Water, so you carry more hydration per inventory slot.

Practical Progression

Early game, stick with a Leather Flask and a Campfire Cauldron near your base. As you gather iron, gold, diamonds, and netherite, upgrade step by step. The Netherite Leather Flask is the final tier and uses the smithing_transform recipe, so you need a smithing table plus the prior Diamond Leather Flask.

Refilling Routine

Always top off your flask at a Copper Cauldron or Campfire Cauldron before long trips. Carry a Purified Water Bucket as backup so you can refill mid-journey if you find a cauldron setup.
