How to Set Up a Smelter and Purifier Line

Place the Smelter

Craft a Smelter and set it on a solid floor. The Smelter is a shaped recipe that uses Resonating Machine Frame. Connect a Generator Controller to the Smelter so it has a power source. Insert raw ore or resonant material into the Smelter's input and collect the processed output from the other side.

Add the Purifier

Craft a Purifier and place it downstream of the Smelter. Route the Smelter's output into the Purifier. The Purifier removes impurities from the processed material, producing a cleaner result for use in the Crystallizer or Generator Controller.

Move fluids with Tank and Valve

Place a Tank next to the Smelter and attach a Valve to control flow. Fill the Tank with the fluid the Smelter needs, then open the Valve to feed it. Close the Valve when the Smelter is idle to avoid waste.

Filter and frame

Use Filter Material in the Purifier's filter slot to control what passes through. Surround the Smelter and Purifier with Resonating Machine Frame to keep the line stable and reduce radiation leakage. Check a Radiation Monitor before working on the line without a full Radiation Suit.
