How to Use Stone Pillar and Rocky Dirt in Builds

Stone Pillar

Stone Pillar is the stone column block in the set. Craft Stone Pillar and place it in vertical runs for porch columns, gate posts, cellar supports, and ruin fragments. Stack it floor to ceiling for a full column, or use short segments as plinths under Beams and Supports. It pairs cleanly with any wood Beam run because the wood shapes and the stone column share the same structural role.

Rocky Dirt

Rocky Dirt is a dirt block with stone mixed in. Craft Rocky Dirt and use it for paths, cave floors, quarry edges, and the ground under a ruin. It breaks up a plain dirt surface without switching to full stone, so it suits transition zones between grass and gravel or between a field and a rocky slope.

Putting them together

A ruin build: Stone Pillar columns at the corners, fallen Stone Pillar segments on the ground, Rocky Dirt as the floor, and Oak Beam or Spruce Beam lintels across the tops. For a garden, line a Rocky Dirt path with Stone Pillar posts and cap each post with a Brazier. Keep Stone Pillar vertical and Rocky Dirt flat so the two read as structure and ground.
