How to Craft and Place Oak Beams, Supports, and Seats

Crafting the wood family

Each wood type has a matching Beam, Support, Seat, and Palisade. For Oak, craft Oak Beam, Oak Support, Oak Seat, and Oak Palisade from oak planks in a crafting table. The same pattern works for Acacia, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Spruce, and Warped, substituting that wood's planks. Bamboo has Palisade, Seat, and Support but no Beam.

Building with them

Oak Beam works as a horizontal or vertical timber line. Oak Support reads as a diagonal brace under a roof or shelf. Oak Seat is a small sit block for benches and window nooks. Oak Palisade forms a short fence-like row for pens, docks, and garden borders.

Mixing woods

Because every wood family shares the same four shapes, you can run an Oak Beam into a Dark Oak Support at a corner, or line a Spruce Palisade against a Birch Seat, without breaking the visual style. Use Beams for the long structural runs, Supports at the joints, Seats where players rest, and Palisades where you need a low barrier. Keep one stack of each plank type on hand so you can swap shapes on site.
