How to Build a Lattice, Bar Panel, and Big Chain Feature

Lattice and Bar Panel

Lattice and Bar Panel are the two openwork blocks in the set. Craft Lattice and Bar Panel at a crafting table, then place them as windows, railings, cage walls, or ceiling grates. Lattice gives a crossed grid look; Bar Panel gives a vertical bar look. Both let light and sight pass through, so they suit prison cells, aviaries, balcony rails, and loft dividers.

Big Chain

Big Chain is a heavy hanging chain block. Craft Big Chain and place it in vertical runs from a ceiling to suspend a Chandelier, a Brazier, or a Soul Brazier. Run Big Chain down a stairwell as a decorative drop, or use short segments as corner ties on a gate.

Combining them

A common build: Lattice panels across a mezzanine, Bar Panel on the ground-floor windows, and Big Chain hanging a Chandelier over the stairwell. Because all three are separate blocks, you can alternate Lattice and Bar Panel in the same wall for a varied screen. Keep the chain runs plumb so the hanging light sits centered under the anchor point.
