How to Build a Spike Trap Corridor
Choosing Your Spike Type
Place spike traps in a floor trench so mobs walking through take damage. The basic Mundane Spike Trap deals contact damage to anything that steps on it. Upgrade the corridor by mixing in Poison Spike Trap, Withering Spike Trap, and Fiery Spike Trap so different mob types get punished. For a mechanical build, use Mechanical Mundane Spike Trap, Mechanical Poison Spike Trap, Mechanical Withering Spike Trap, or Mechanical Fiery Spike Trap — these are the powered variants you wire into a redstone line.
Laying the Corridor
1. Dig a 1-block-deep channel along the path mobs follow.
2. Place your chosen spike trap blocks in the channel floor, flush with the surrounding ground.
3. Run redstone to the mechanical spikes if you are using them; unpowered mechanical spikes stay inert.
4. Cover the approach with Fire Floor Trap, Lava Floor Trap, Potion Floor Trap, or Tnt Floor Trap tiles to soften mobs before they reach the spikes.
5. Add Runny Lava at the far end as a final kill layer, or place a Runny Lava Bucket to pour it.
Combine spike damage with a Monster Stream Spawner feeding the corridor so mobs keep arriving. Keep the trench one block wide so mobs cannot path around the spikes.
