How to Build a Plastered Stone Wall with Windows and Columns

Lay the Base Wall

Blue Plastered Stone is the core block. Build your wall face from it, then add depth with Blue Plastered Stone Edge on corners and Blue Plastered Stone Plate for inset panels. Use Blue Plastered Stone Slab and Blue Plastered Stone Stairs to soften the top of the wall or step it down to a lower section.

Cut Window Openings

Blue Plastered Stone Window is the piece to place where you want light and sightlines. Space them evenly along the wall and keep a solid Blue Plastered Stone block between each one. If you want a framed look, run Blue Plastered Stone Column vertically between window bays.

Add Columns and Frieze

Blue Plastered Stone Column gives you a vertical accent that reads as a pilaster. Place one at each end of a wall run and one between window groups. Above the columns, cap the wall with Chiseled Plastered Stone, and run Chiseled Plastered Stone Frieze as a horizontal band under the roofline. Blue Painted Stone can be used as a contrasting field block behind the plastered stone details.

Finish the Base

Set the wall on Cobbled Limestone for a foundation course. If you want a tiled skirt, Black Clay Tile, Blue Clay Tile, Cyan Clay Tile, or Clay Tile can run along the bottom edge. Keep the plastered stone pieces as the dominant surface so the window and column rhythm stays clear.
