Furnishing a Room: Couches, Footstools, Candlesticks and Flower Pots

Seating and Small Furniture

Birch Couch and Birch Footstool are the two seating pieces. Both are shaped crafting recipes made from Birch Planks. Place the Couch against a wall and set a Footstool in front of it to form a reading nook. Pair them with Birch Plate flooring or a Birch Wall panel behind for a matched corner.

Lighting and Decoration

Candlestick is a shaped recipe and provides small local light. Place Candlesticks on windowsills, on top of Charred Spruce Fence posts, or along a Blue Plastered Stone Slab ledge. Big Flower Pot is a shaped recipe for a large planter; set one on either side of a Charred Spruce Door.

Tying the Room Together

1. Floor the room with Birch Plate or Charred Spruce Planks.

2. Panel one wall with Birch Wall and trim it with Birch Edge.

3. Place the Birch Couch and Birch Footstool.

4. Add Candlesticks at each corner.

5. Put a Big Flower Pot beside the doorway.

For a darker room, swap Birch for Charred Spruce Boards and Charred Spruce Plate, and use Black Wrought Iron Fence or Black Wrought Iron Baluster as a room divider. Black Reinforced Wrought Iron Fence is the heavier variant for exterior railings.
