Crafting Wooden Lattice, Pergolas and Support Beams

What Each Piece Does

Every wood type in the mod has a matching set: Beam, Edge, Lattice, Pergola, Plate, Support Beam, Support Slab and Wall. Acacia, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak and Bamboo all follow this pattern, and Charred Spruce adds its own Beam, Edge, Lattice, Pergola, Plate, Support Beam and Support Slab. Lattice is an open grid for screens and railings. Pergola is a slatted overhead piece. Support Beam and Support Slab are the load-bearing shapes. Plate is a thin flat panel. Edge trims corners. Wall is a full vertical panel.

Building a Pergola Walkway

1. Sink Support Beam posts at each corner of the walkway.

2. Span the posts with Beam across the top.

3. Lay Pergola between the beams to create the open roof.

4. Fill side gaps with Lattice for a screened look.

5. Cap post tops with Support Slab.

All of these are shaped crafting recipes using the matching planks or logs. Bamboo uses Bamboo Thatch Block, Bamboo Thatch Slab, Bamboo Thatch Stairs, Bamboo Thatch Edge and Bamboo Thatch Plate for its thatched variants. Mix wood types freely — a Dark Oak Beam frame with Acacia Lattice infill reads clearly and costs nothing extra.
