Crafting Wood Beam and Lattice Sets for Any Wood Type

The Shared Shape Family

Every wood type in the mod shares the same shape family: Beam, Edge, Lattice, Pergola, Plate, Support Beam, Support Slab, and Wall. Acacia, Bamboo, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, and Dark Oak all have these blocks. Bamboo additionally has Bamboo Thatch Block, Bamboo Thatch Edge, Bamboo Thatch Plate, Bamboo Thatch Slab, and Bamboo Thatch Stairs.

Recipes are shaped and use the corresponding wood's planks or logs as input. To make a full set, gather a large stack of planks for one wood type and craft each shape in turn. Support Beam and Support Slab are the structural pieces; Beam and Edge are the trim pieces; Lattice and Pergola are the open decorative pieces; Plate is the thin facing panel; Wall is the solid panel.

Using the Set Together

Run Beam horizontally along a ceiling or roofline. Place Edge along corners to hide seams. Use Lattice in window openings or as a screen between rooms. Pergola works overhead — place it as a top layer over a walkway or courtyard. Support Beam and Support Slab go under overhangs to suggest load-bearing structure. Wall fills large flat areas where you want a wood surface without planks.

Because the shape names are identical across wood types, you can mix two woods in one build: for example, Birch Beam with Dark Oak Wall, or Acacia Lattice with Crimson Plate. Keep the structural pieces (Support Beam, Support Slab) in one wood and the decorative pieces in another for a clean contrast.
