Disable Glitches for Specific Activities
Temporarily Turn Off the Shader
If you need to disable Datamosh Shaders for tasks like precise building, reading text, or taking clean screenshots:
- Open Video Settings and navigate to Shaders
- Select "None" or "Off" to disable the active shader
- The glitch effects will immediately stop, and your view returns to normal Minecraft rendering
Re-enable When Ready
Return to the Shaders menu and select Datamosh Shaders to turn the effect back on. Your previous settings are preserved, so you won't need to reconfigure anything.
Alternative: Lower Intensity Instead
If you want to keep the shader active but reduce its impact:
- Decrease block size to make glitches less obstructive
- Lower update frequency so blocks change less often
- Reduce color bleeding and motion smearing
This approach lets you maintain the aesthetic while improving visibility for detailed work. Experiment with minimal settings to find a balance that doesn't interfere with your gameplay while still providing the datamosh visual style.
