Adjust Glitch Intensity and Block Size
Access Shader Settings
Open your shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options, though the exact path depends on your mod loader and shader host.
Customize Visual Parameters
Look for settings that control:
- Block size or pixelation scale — Increase this to make glitch blocks larger and more visible, or decrease it for finer, more subtle distortion
- Glitch intensity or frequency — Higher values make blocks shift and update more rapidly, creating a more chaotic effect. Lower values produce a calmer, less aggressive datamosh appearance
- Color bleeding strength — Controls how much colors smear into neighboring areas
- Motion smearing amount — Adjusts how much trailing and pixel smearing follows moving objects
Apply and Test
Save your changes and observe the effect in different lighting conditions and environments. The glitch effect will be more noticeable in bright areas and around high-contrast edges. Adjust settings incrementally to find the balance between visual interest and playability that suits your preference.
