Finding Crystal Melon

Crystal Melon is a block you encounter in the Darker Depths rather than craft from scratch. It sits alongside Crystal Husk as part of the crystal-themed block set. When you find Crystal Melon in the world, break it and bring it back to your base — it is a decorative block first and foremost, and it fits a palette built from Amber, Amber Block, and Amber Cluster.

Building a Crystal Palette

Combine Crystal Melon with Amber Block and Amber Cluster to build a glowing crystal room. Amber Cluster works as a wall or ceiling accent, Amber Block as the main surface, and Crystal Melon as the highlight block. Crystal Husk fills the gaps where you want a duller, less saturated crystal look.

Lighting the Room

Crystal Melon does not replace proper lighting. Add Glowshroom Lamp or Glowshroom Lantern on the ceiling, and use Glowshroom Block as a floor accent so the room stays lit without torches. If you want the room to feel underground rather than bright, use Darkslate or Duskrock as the base floor and reserve Crystal Melon for a single feature wall. Keep Glimmering Vines on the ceiling edges to tie the crystal blocks into the surrounding cave.
