Farming Glowshrooms and Glimmering Vines for Light

Glowshroom Blocks

Glowshroom is the base block, and it breaks down into Glowshroom Block, Glowshroom Cap, Glowshroom Stem, and Glowshroom Heart. These are your organic light sources. Glowshroom Lamp and Glowshroom Lantern are the finished lighting blocks — place them where you would normally put a torch or lantern.

Growing and Harvesting

Harvest Glowshroom from the mod's caves and bring it back to your base. Plant it on suitable ground and let it spread. Collect Glowshroom Cap and Glowshroom Stem as you go; they feed into crafting recipes for the Lamp and Lantern. Keep a dedicated patch so you always have a supply.

Glimmering Vines

Glimmering Vines and Glimmering Vine Plant are the hanging light source. Place Glimmering Vines under ceilings and ledges to light corridors without floor clutter. They pair well with Glow Grime and Glowspurs for a cave-garden look.

Decorating with Light

Use Glowshroom Lanterns along Aridrock Bricks Walls and Glowshroom Lamps above Darkslate Pillars. Glowshroom Block works as a glowing floor tile. For a fuller cave build, mix Glowshroom, Glimmering Vines, Glow Grime, and Glowspurs together rather than using one type everywhere. Store surplus Glowshroom Cap and Stem in a chest near your crafting table so you can craft more Lanterns and Lamps without a return trip.
