From Petrified Wood to Planks

Petrified Wood is the wood family of Darker Depths, and it behaves like a normal log for crafting purposes. Process Petrified Wood into Petrified Planks, then use those planks as the base material for the rest of the set. Stripped Petrified Wood is also available if you want the smoother log texture for a build.

Petrified Planks craft into the standard wooden components:

• Petrified Slab, Petrified Stairs
• Petrified Fence, Petrified Fence Gate
• Petrified Door, Petrified Trapdoor
• Petrified Button, Petrified Pressure Plate
• Petrified Sign, Petrified Hanging Sign

Boards, Bookshelves and Boats

Two blocks sit outside the normal plank recipes. Petrified Boards and Trimmed Petrified Planks are their own decorative plank variants — use them where you want a different grain than plain Petrified Planks. Petrified Bookshelf is the storage-and-enchanting block of the set, crafted from planks like a vanilla bookshelf.

For transport, craft a Petrified Boat from Petrified Planks. If you need to move items across water at the same time, craft the Petrified Boat with Chest instead — same boat, with a container built in.

Porous Petrified Log is the odd one out: it is a distinct log block rather than a crafting ingredient, so set it aside for decoration rather than feeding it into the plank chain.
