How to Build a Mob-Controlled Trap Corridor with Plates and Mob Filters

Laying the plates

Start with a floor of Vector Plate blocks to push mobs along a corridor. Upgrade the push with Fast Vector Plate, Extreme Vector Plate or Ultra Vector Plate where you need more speed or distance. Add effect plates along the path: Damage Plate, Player Damage Plate, Poison Plate, Wither Plate, Frost Plate, Flame Plate, Hunger Plate, Weakness Plate, Slowness Plate, Fatigue Plate, Darkness Plate, Levitation Plate, Slow Fall Plate, Maim Plate, Bane Plate, Smite Plate, Misfortune Plate or Ominous Plate.

Filtering who gets hit

Place Mob Filter blocks to restrict which entities trigger your plates. Available filters include Mob Filter (Hostile), Mob Filter (Animal), Mob Filter (Arthropod), Mob Filter (Undead), Mob Filter (Illager), Mob Filter (Piglin), Mob Filter (Villager), Mob Filter (Player), Mob Filter (Pet), Mob Filter (Golem), Mob Filter (Slime), Mob Filter (Zombie), Mob Filter (Water), Mob Filter (Fire Immune), Mob Filter (Freeze Immune), Mob Filter (Child), Mob Filter (Named), Mob Filter (Passenger), Mob Filter (Equipment) and Mob Filter (Raid).

Wiring and safety

Use Shielded Redstone to run signals without interference, and Redstone Randomizer to vary trap timing. Anchor Plate and Blank Plate let you fill gaps or hold positions. Test the corridor with a single mob before opening it to a farm.
