Tome of Enchanting

Tome of Enchanting is a crafted item used in enchanting-related recipes and setups. Craft it before attempting any enchanting-focused Dark Utilities build. It serves as a component in recipes that require an enchanting theme.

Tome of Shadows

Tome of Shadows is the second tome. It relates to shadow or stealth mechanics. Use it in recipes or setups where you need shadow-themed behavior. Like Tome of Enchanting, it is a crafting component rather than a placeable block.

Where Tomes Fit

Tomes are intermediate crafting items. You will need them to craft certain plates, runes, or charms. Check the recipe for whatever block you are trying to make — if it calls for a tome, craft the tome first. Both tomes require specific materials that you gather through normal gameplay.

Practical Use

Keep one of each tome in a chest near your crafting area. When you unlock a new plate or filter recipe that needs a tome, you will already have it ready. Tomes are not consumed by being held — they are consumed when used in a crafting recipe. Craft extras if you plan to make multiple items that require the same tome. Pair tome crafting with your rune stock so you can produce plates and filters in batches.
