Customize Color-Coded Container Colors
Locating Container Texture Files
The Dark OreUI Recreation Resource Pack assigns distinct colors to different container types (chests, Ender chests, Shulker boxes, hoppers, barrels, and dispensers) for visual organization. To change these colors, you'll need to access the resource pack's texture files.
1. Open your resource pack folder and navigate to assets/minecraft/textures/gui/container/
2. Locate the texture files for each container type you want to modify
3. Open the relevant .png file in an image editor (Photoshop, GIMP, or online tools)
Applying Your Custom Colors
4. Select the color areas you want to change using your editor's selection tools
5. Adjust the hue, saturation, or use the fill tool to apply new colors
6. Ensure your edits maintain the original contrast and readability of slot outlines
7. Save the file in PNG format without compression to preserve quality
8. Reload your resource pack in-game by pressing F3 + T (or restarting)
Test your changes by opening various containers to verify the new colors display correctly and remain visually distinct from one another.
