Building a Thatch Roof

1. Craft Plant Matter into Thatch at a Workbench.

2. Convert part of the Thatch into Thatch Slab and Thatch Stairs.

3. Lay Thatch as the main roof surface.

4. Use Thatch Stairs along the eaves and Thatch Slab for the ridge line.

Thatch is a light, dry-looking block that suits desert, savanna, and village-style builds. It pairs well with Sandy Clothes and Desertic Slime-themed decorations if you are going for a warm-climate settlement. Because Thatch Slab and Thatch Stairs share the same texture as the full block, you can build curved roofs without visible seams. Store spare Plant Matter in a chest near the build site so you can patch gaps without a return trip.
