Every time you hit a mob, a floating number appears above it showing the exact damage dealt. This helps you:

• See critical hits clearly distinguished from normal hits
• Track damage from status effects or environmental sources

Visual Differences by Style

The appearance of damage numbers changes based on your selected HUD style:

• Classic Style: Traditional number display with standard text rendering
• Modern Retro Style: Enhanced particle effects with custom pop-off animations that drift upward as they fade

Use in Combat

Damage numbers spawn instantly when your attack connects. Watch the numbers to confirm hits landed, especially useful when fighting multiple mobs or in low-visibility conditions. The numbers disappear after a short time, keeping your screen uncluttered during extended battles.
