Improve Visibility in Dark Areas and Caves
Understand the Shader's Lighting Model
Cyberspace Shaders replaces traditional lighting with a point-cloud grid system. This means caves and dark areas may feel harder to navigate than in vanilla Minecraft. The neon points provide your primary visibility cue.
Boost Visibility Without Losing Aesthetics
- Increase the neon point brightness in shader settings to make glowing scan points more prominent in darkness
- Raise the grid opacity so the dark grid lines themselves become easier to trace
- Enable any ambient glow or minimum brightness option if available
Use In-Game Light Sources
Place torches, lanterns, or other light blocks strategically. These interact with the shader's scanning effect and create bright reference points. Glowing blocks like glowstone or amethyst clusters become especially useful navigation markers in the LiDAR aesthetic.
Adjust Monitor Settings
If the shader still feels too dark, increase your monitor's brightness or contrast slightly. This won't affect gameplay but makes the neon points pop more against the dark background.
