Using the Transmutation Furnace for Essence and Sword Recipes

What the Transmutation Furnace Does

The Transmutation Furnace is the only block added by the mod. It handles the transmutation recipe type, which is separate from normal crafting. Recipes that will not fit in a crafting table — especially essence conversions and higher-tier sword combines — go here.

Place the Transmutation Furnace like a normal furnace and open it. The transmutation recipes take their inputs from the slots and produce the output directly. You do not need fuel for transmutation the way you do for smelting; the furnace is a dedicated conversion station.

Practical Transmutation Steps

1. Craft the Transmutation Furnace and place it in your base.

2. Stock the Essences you have gathered: Fire Essence, Water Essence, Earth Essence, Wind Essence, Thunder Essence, Light Essence, Dark Essence, Ender Essence, Beast Essence, and Mixed Essence.

3. Check each sword you want to upgrade against the furnace. If the recipe does not show in a crafting table, try the furnace.

4. Feed in the lower sword plus the required Essence to receive the next tier.

Mixed Essence is worth producing early because several advanced combines use it. Keep a stack of every Essence on hand — running back to gather more mid-craft is the most common reason a transmutation stalls.

Use the furnace alongside your crafting table, not instead of it. Basic swords and the Sword Handle are made at the crafting table; the furnace handles the conversions that the table cannot.
