How to Craft the Transmutation Furnace and Start Transmuting Essences

The Transmutation Furnace is the only block in the mod and the core of essence processing. Place it like a normal furnace and open it to access the cwsr:transmutation recipe type.

Feeding the Furnace

Transmutation recipes consume input items and produce essences. The essences you will need across the mod are: Fire Essence, Water Essence, Earth Essence, Wind Essence, Thunder Essence, Light Essence, Dark Essence, Ender Essence, Beast Essence, and Mixed Essence. Each of these is produced through transmutation rather than standard crafting, so the furnace is required before you can build most swords.

Practical Order

1. Craft the Transmutation Furnace using its shaped recipe.

2. Place it and load fuel as you would a furnace.

3. Insert the input item for the essence you want and wait for the transmutation to finish.

4. Pull the finished essence out and store it separately by type.

Start with Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind Essence, since these feed the elemental sword line. Keep a stock of each essence on hand — later swords such as the Tri-Ender Sword and Meteoric Thunderstorm Sword depend on multiple essence types, and running back to the furnace mid-craft stalls progression.
