Crafting the Furnace

The Transmutation Furnace is the only block added by the mod, and it unlocks the cwsr:transmutation recipe type. Craft it before you attempt any Essence conversion, because 18 of the mod's recipes run through this block and cannot be made at a normal crafting table.

Feeding It Essence

Place the Transmutation Furnace and use it to convert and combine Essence items. The Essence family includes Fire Essence, Water Essence, Earth Essence, Wind Essence, Thunder Essence, Light Essence, Dark Essence, Ender Essence, Beast Essence, and Mixed Essence. Transmutation recipes are how you turn raw or duplicate Essence into the specific Essence a sword needs, and how you produce Mixed Essence for the higher-tier blades.

Practical Workflow

Keep a chest of Essence beside the furnace. When a sword recipe calls for an Essence you do not have, check whether transmutation can produce it from what you already own before going back out to farm. This saves exploration time and lets you chain upgrades. Because Mixed Essence feeds multiple advanced swords, run transmutation batches whenever you have surplus base Essence rather than converting one at a time.
