Crafting the Sword Handle and Your First Cyan Sword

Every sword in the mod is built on the Sword Handle. Make several before you start on blades — you will need one per sword and they are cheap to batch.

Sword Handle First

Craft the Sword Handle with its shaped recipe. Keep a stack of handles in a chest near your crafting table so you never have to stop mid-progression to make more.

The Cyan Sword

With a Sword Handle in hand, craft the Cyan Sword. This is your entry-level weapon and the baseline for the mod's damage curve. Once you have it, you can branch into the elemental lines: Fire Sword, Water Sword, Earth Sword, Wind Sword, Thunder Sword, Light Sword, Dark Sword, Ender Sword, Ice Sword, and Beast Sword. Each of these uses its matching essence from the Transmutation Furnace plus a Sword Handle.

What to Build Next

After the Cyan Sword, pick one element and push it to its upgraded form before spreading out. For example, Fire Sword leads toward Combustion Sword and Meteor Sword; Wind Sword leads toward Wind Impulse Sword, Wind Blast Sword, and Wind Boom Sword. Committing to one line gets you a stronger weapon faster than crafting every base sword at once.
