When you capture an axolotl with a bucket, this resource pack displays the exact color of that axolotl directly on the bucket texture. This makes it easy to identify which color variant you've caught without opening the bucket.

How It Works

The pack automatically updates the bucket sprite to match your axolotl's coloration—whether it's pink, blue, cyan, gold, or leucistic. The colored texture appears on the bucket item itself when held in your inventory or hotbar.

Requirements for Color Display

On modern versions (1.21.5+), axolotl colors display automatically without additional mods.

On older versions (1.20.1 and earlier), you'll need either:

• CIT Resewn (a mod that enables custom item textures)
• OptiFine (which includes this functionality)

Without these mods on older versions, buckets will still appear as cubes but won't show the axolotl color variant.

Store your colored axolotl buckets in chests or item frames to create a visual collection. The distinct textures make it simple to spot specific colors at a glance.
