Craft the Trebuchet

The Trebuchet is one of the eight registered blocks/items in the Crusade Mod and is made with a crafting_shaped recipe. Open a crafting table and arrange the ingredients in the exact pattern shown. Because every recipe in the mod is shaped, the Trebuchet will not craft from a shapeless pile — the slots must match.

Place and operate

Once crafted, the Trebuchet is a placeable block. Set it down on flat ground with clear space in front of it. Treat it as a siege piece: position it facing the direction you want to launch toward, then load and fire according to how the block behaves in-world. Keep it away from your own walls, since a siege engine aimed the wrong way is a liability.

Pair it with lances

A common setup is a Trebuchet for ranged pressure plus a lance for close work. Craft a Wooden Lance or Iron Lance alongside the Trebuchet so you are not defenseless when something closes the distance. Both come from shaped recipes at the same crafting table, so you can build the whole kit in one session. Stock extra materials for the Trebuchet recipe if you plan to place more than one.
