Reduce Motion Blur or Ghosting Effects
Access Advanced Shader Options
Open Video Settings → Shaders → Shader Options and look for advanced or post-processing settings. CRT Monochrome Shaders may include motion blur or ghosting effects that simulate older screen technology.
Find Motion or Temporal Effects
Search the options menu for settings labeled motion blur, ghosting, temporal smoothing, or similar terms. These create trailing or blurred visuals when you move quickly—authentic to old CRT monitors but sometimes distracting.
Adjust or Disable
Reduce the intensity slider or toggle the effect off entirely. Lowering the value decreases ghosting while maintaining the retro aesthetic. Disabling it completely gives you clearer visuals without the motion artifacts.
Test During Gameplay
Move your camera quickly and observe how the effect behaves. If motion blur makes fast-paced gameplay uncomfortable, reduce it further. Some players prefer subtle ghosting for authenticity; others want clarity.
Balance Retro Feel and Playability
Remember that CRT effects are meant to enhance immersion. If any setting interferes with your ability to play comfortably, adjust it. The shader is flexible—customize it to match both your aesthetic preferences and gameplay needs.
