Adjust CRT Scanline Intensity
Access Shader Settings
Open the Shader Options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings → Shaders → Shader Options, or by pressing a designated hotkey (often a function key). Look for the CRT Monochrome Shaders configuration panel.
Find Scanline Controls
Locate the scanline or line intensity slider. This setting controls how prominent the horizontal lines across your screen appear—a core feature of the retro CRT effect.
Customize to Your Preference
Adjust the slider to increase or decrease scanline visibility. Higher values create more visible horizontal lines that mimic old television sets more authentically. Lower values provide a subtler vintage effect while keeping gameplay clarity.
Apply and Test
Save your changes and observe how the effect looks during gameplay. Scanlines are most noticeable on bright surfaces and sky areas. If the lines feel too distracting, reduce the intensity. If you want a stronger 1980s aesthetic, increase it.
Fine-Tune Other Parameters
While in the shader options, you may also adjust color saturation, contrast, or glow settings to complement your scanline preference and achieve your desired retro look.
