Using the Detailed Crafter and Detailed Auto-Crafter

Manual Crafting

Detailed Crafter is the workbench for most Crossroads recipes that a normal crafting table cannot handle. Place it, open it, and arrange ingredients in the grid it presents. Recipes that use the crossroads:detailed_crafter type — including many machine parts and crystal components — only work here.

Automate With the Auto-Crafter

Detailed Auto-Crafter performs the same recipes without you standing there. Feed it ingredients from a Crystal Conduit line or a hopper, and it outputs finished items to the adjacent inventory. This is how you keep a steady supply of Axles, Gears, and Crystal Conduits without manual clicking.

Practical Setup

Place a Detailed Auto-Crafter next to a Crystal Storage Vessel for input and a second vessel for output. Route a Crystal Conduit from each. If a recipe needs a specific tool or catalyst, keep a stock of it in the input vessel — the auto-crafter will not substitute. For one-off or experimental recipes, use the manual Detailed Crafter first to confirm the layout, then mirror that layout in the auto-crafter's configuration. Keep a Color Chart and Alchemy Chart nearby when working with recipes that reference colors or alchemical inputs.
