Smelting and Blasting in Crossroads
Standard Smelting
Many Crossroads intermediates come out of a normal furnace. Copper Dust smelts into usable copper, Dirty Water Bucket can be processed toward Distilled Water Bucket through the appropriate chain, and ore chunks refine into ingots. Load your furnace with fuel and the raw input, and pull the result from the output slot.
Blast Furnace and Crossroads Blast Furnace
For faster processing, use a blast furnace. Crossroads also defines its own cr_blast_furnace recipe type, which runs in the Crossroads blast furnace block. Recipes of this type often involve metals and alloys — Bronze Ingot production benefits from this path when you have the block available. The standard blasting recipe type also appears, so some inputs can go through a vanilla blast furnace.
Feeding the Line
Automate input with a hopper or a Crystal Conduit feeding from a Crystal Storage Vessel. Output into a second vessel or a chest. If you are running both smelting and blasting recipes, keep separate input chests so you do not accidentally send a blast-only recipe into a regular furnace. Stockpile Copper Dust, Tin, and raw ore chunks nearby so the line never idles. For high-volume work, chain multiple furnaces or blast furnaces side by side and split input with a Crystal Splitter-style routing.
