Powering Machines With the Dynamo and Tesla Coils

Build the Dynamo

Dynamo is the core power generator for Crossroads machinery. Craft it in the Detailed Crafter, place it on a solid floor, and connect its output face to a Crystal Conduit line. Without a conduit run, the Dynamo has nowhere to send its power.

Distribute With Tesla Coils

Efficient Tesla Coil Head and Decorative Tesla Coil Head are the transmission endpoints. Place an Efficient Tesla Coil Head where you want power delivered, and route conduit from the Dynamo to it. The Decorative variant is for looks only — do not rely on it to power machines. For wireless-style delivery, position coil heads so their beam reaches the target block; use a Beam Redirector or Beam Reflector to bend the path around obstacles.

Manage Load

If machines stutter, you are drawing more than the Dynamo produces. Add a second Dynamo on the same conduit line, or insert a Crystal Storage Vessel as a buffer between generation and consumption. A Clockwork Stabilizer smooths spikes. Keep a Cage Charger and Beacon Harness nearby if your setup uses caged mobs or beacon-linked devices — they draw from the same network. Check every conduit segment between Dynamo and coil head; a single missing block breaks the whole run.
