Making and Applying Feather Meal and Potash

Feather Meal and Potash are your two growth and soil items. Both are produced through crafting recipes and are meant to be applied to crops or soil to boost them.

Feather Meal

Feather Meal is made via a crafting recipe. Use it on crops the same way you would use bone meal — apply it to a growing plant to advance its growth. Keep a stack on you while farming so you can top up crops between watering can passes.

Potash and Potash Block

Potash is a crafting ingredient and an application item. It can also be compressed into a Potash Block for storage, and the block can be broken back down. Use Potash on soil or crops to improve them; store surplus as Potash Block to save inventory space.

Combining With Watering

Apply Feather Meal or Potash, then water with a Watering Can. Stacking both effects on the same crop gives the fastest growth. For a full farm, work in rows: apply Potash or Feather Meal down a row, then sweep the Watering Can over it.

Storage Tip

Convert spare Potash into Potash Block for compact storage, and keep Feather Meal in a chest near your farm so you never run out mid-harvest.
