How to Craft an Iron Crook

Smelt Iron Ingots

An Iron Crook needs iron ingots. Mine iron ore with a stone pickaxe or better, then smelt the ore in a furnace using coal, charcoal, or another fuel. Each ore yields one iron ingot. Gather enough ingots for the recipe and sticks for the handle.

Craft the Iron Crook

The Iron Crook is made with a shaped crafting recipe. Place iron ingots and sticks in the crafting grid in the required pattern. Take the finished Iron Crook from the output slot.

Durability and Use

The Iron Crook is the most durable of the standard crooks, lasting far longer than the Wooden Crook or Stone Crook. Use it to clear leaves and foliage across large builds or farms without constant replacement. Keep it in your hotbar when deforesting or harvesting tree farms. If it eventually breaks, you can craft another with more iron ingots and sticks, or fall back to a Stone Crook if iron is scarce. The Bone Crook is a separate variant you can craft if you have bones instead of ingots.
