How to Craft the Cinder Sword

The Cinder Sword is the mod's combat weapon, and it depends on the Cinder Furnace for its materials. You cannot skip the furnace step.

Prerequisites

Build and fuel a Cinder Furnace first. Process the required input items through it to obtain the smelted materials the sword recipe needs. Do not attempt the sword until you have those processed materials in your inventory.

Crafting the Sword

Open a crafting table and arrange the processed materials in the sword pattern. The recipe is a shaped crafting recipe, so the position of each ingredient in the grid matters. Place the blade material in the vertical column and the handle material at the bottom center. If the sword does not appear in the output slot, your ingredients are in the wrong slots or you are short one item.

Using the Cinder Sword

Equip the Cinder Sword in your main hand. It functions as a standard sword: left-click to attack, and it deals its damage on each hit. Keep it repaired or replace it when durability runs low. Because the sword requires furnace processing, stock extra processed materials before a long trip so you can craft a replacement without returning to base.
