How to Craft and Use the Net, Apple Slices, and Sporeling Backpack

These three items cover catching, feeding, and carrying. Each has its own crafting recipe, and the Net is the tool you will reach for most often.

Crafting the Net

The Net is made with a shaped crafting recipe. Arrange the ingredients in the net pattern on a crafting table, matching each slot exactly. Once crafted, hold the Net in your main hand.

Using the Net

With the Net equipped, approach the creature you want to catch and use the item on it. The Net captures the target so you can move or release it elsewhere. Keep the Net in your hotbar during exploration so you can react quickly.

Apple Slices and the Sporeling Backpack

Apple Slices are made with the mod's shapeless crafting recipe: place the required ingredients anywhere in the crafting grid and they combine into Apple Slices. Use them as a food or feeding item. The Sporeling Backpack is crafted with a shaped recipe and worn or carried to expand what you can haul. Load it before long trips so you are not leaving loot behind.
