How to Craft and Use the Cinder Furnace

The Cinder Furnace is the only block added by the mod, and it is the anchor for everything else you will make. Place it like a normal furnace and interact with it to open its processing interface.

Fueling and Processing

Load the Cinder Furnace with the input item you want processed and a fuel source in the fuel slot. The furnace consumes fuel over time and outputs the processed result into the output slot. Pull the finished product out before loading a new batch so the output slot does not back up.

Progression Logic

The Cinder Furnace is the gateway to the mod's metal and combat items. Once it is running, you can process the materials needed for the Cinder Sword. Keep a steady supply of fuel on hand so you are not stopping mid-smelt. If you plan to craft multiple Cinder Swords or back-to-back batches of other items, build a second Cinder Furnace and run them in parallel rather than waiting on a single block.

Practical Tips

Place the Cinder Furnace near your main storage so you can grab inputs and deposit outputs without walking. Light the area around it so hostile mobs do not interrupt your processing. When you are done for the session, empty both the input and output slots so nothing is lost if you relocate the block.
