Getting Started with Heat Generation and Storage
Setting Up Your First Heat Factory
Start by placing a Molten Rotor Furnace and feeding it fuel manually or via Mechanical Arm. The furnace produces both kinetic rotation and heat simultaneously—two resources you can route separately across your factory.
Connect Thermochemical Shafts, Cogwheels, or Conduits to distribute heat to machines that need it. Use Engineer's Goggles to monitor current temperature, RPM output, and stress capacity in real time.
For sustained operation, link a Thermal Battery to store excess heat when production peaks. This buffer discharges automatically when your furnace runs dry, keeping machines running smoothly. To reach extreme temperatures, supply high-tier fuel to trigger Afterburn mode, unlocking heat output up to 2000 °C for advanced chemical processing and specialized contraptions.
