Using Cardboard Armor and the Cart Assembler

Cardboard is a cheap early material. Craft Cardboard into a Cardboard Helmet, Cardboard Chestplate, Cardboard Leggings, and Cardboard Boots for a full set of disposable armor. You can also craft a Cardboard Sword. Store spare Cardboard as a Block of Cardboard, and bind multiple blocks into a Bound Block of Cardboard for compact storage.

Cart Assembler Basics

A Cart Assembler attaches a minecart to a moving contraption. Place it on a Contraption Controls setup, then drive the contraption along a Controller Rail. This is how you move a small build, a drill rig, or a portable workstation from place to place without rebuilding it.

Powering the Contraption

Rotation for the contraption comes from a Clockwork Bearing or a Cogwheel network on the moving platform. Use a Clutch to disengage power when you park. An Adjustable Chain Gearshift lets you change speed while the contraption is running.

Practical Uses

Load a Cart Assembler with a Chest and a few Brass Funnels to make a mobile sorter. Add a Basin and a Mechanical Mixer for an on-the-go crafting station. Keep a Brown Toolbox, a Clipboard, and spare Cardboard on the cart so you can repair and reconfigure in the field. When you are done, park the cart on a Controller Rail and switch off the Clutch.
